Rise and Shine Upstairs at The Berlin! Start your day off with a 60 minute yoga class developed and lead by experienced instructor, Marsha Jaworski, followed by a healthy, seasonal breakfast menu created by Chef Jonathan Gushue.
Are you confused? Thought The Berlin was just a restaurant? Expect the unexpected is how we like to roll. You will soon experience the amazingness of the upstairs space with it's original, solid maple floors, exposed brick and plaster walls. And, finally, waking up as the sun is peaking through the windows is nothing short of magical. Upstairs at The Berlin is a perfect setting to practice yoga.
After stretching and strengthening your body in your yoga practise, you can opt-in to fuel your body with a tasty and nutrient filled breakfast. No time to stay, but really craving The Berlin breakfast? No worries, we have your tummy covered .... if you opt-in for breakfast we will have your breakfast packaged and ready to go! No one misses out on breakfast! Each week The Berlin will feature different food/drink items which may include things like the mighty green smoothie, super food energy bars and no-cook oats with The Berlin flair. Many beverages will be served including hot coffee/tea, warm lemon ginger water and cold refreshing fruit infused water. If this all sounds good to you but you are concerned about dietary restrictions/sensitivities, do not fret, just let us know in advance. Jonathan will have you covered!

Breakfast - Fuel yourself to kick start your day! 7:30am to 8:30am - takeaway or eat in - If you decide to eat-in, on occasion, you will be treated to an interesting and educational (informal) chat from host expert guest speakers on such topics as the powerful antioxidant properties of coffee, how your yoga practice will promote a competitive edge on the golf course, naturopathic tips for better sleep and boosting your energy and much more!
If you are thinking to yourself that you really want to start your day off with an energy filled, nutrient packed breakfast, but the yoga thing is just not for you. That's cool .... you can pop in between 7:30am and 8:30am to either takeaway your breakfast or choose to hang with us - you might just get tempted to give yoga a try!
Please remember if you choose this option we will need to know 24 hours in advance. We know your time is precious and we would not want to keep you waiting.

1. What are my parking options getting to class?
So we all know this is a hot topic right now ... we are hoping that at 6:15am things will be a little easier to navigate downtown. The City of Kitchener has developed a very helpful road closure and parking map. You are one click away from accessing this neat little tool:
2. What should I bring to class?
A yoga mat, hand towel, any props that you may use in your practise (block, strap, etc.), and a water bottle. We will have a few extra yoga mats on hand if you don't have one or forgot yours (we are glad you made it out the door at this hour!!). Mats can be rented for $5.00 with all proceeds going to The Berlin's local charity of choice.
3. What time will The Berlin doors open?
We will be ready to see your bright and shiny faces at 6:00am. If you tend to hit that snooze button in the morning make sure you get to The Berlin by 6:25am as we will have to lock our front doors when we are upstairs.
4. I purchased Option 3 and I am really looking forward to eating my breakfast at The Berlin. What can I expect?
Our signature awesome food! It will be healthy and you will be starting your day with power food that will kick start your day. Think: smoothie, juice, oatmeal, other awesome protein, coffee / tea, well on your way to fuel your day! Remember if you are dropping-in and haven't pre-registered we need 24 hours advance notice to ensure your breakfast is ready for you!
Whether you decide to eat-in or takeaway we are going to have everyone's breakfast packaged and in a bag for you all set for 7:30am. If you want to hang at The Berlin and enjoy your food we will have our boardroom set-up to sit and enjoy your breakie. On occasion we may have a guest speaker to chat with us about various wellness and health issues as we mentioned under Option 3 in the above section. As much as we enjoying chatting, we will have to close our doors at 8:30am.
5. I have paid for a package and something has come up that I will not be able to use all of my sessions. Can they be transferred to another future Yoga and Breakfast program?
We get it, life happens! If this issue comes up let's chat. I am sure we can figure out something!!
6. This isn't a question but something we should address .... we will obviously need a minimum number of participants in order to get this amazing program up and running. Encourage your partner, friend, co-worker, health food clerk (you get the picture) to register! It's gonna be awesome and just because we are super excited about this program we are offering some pretty sweet introductory Program Launch Specials (check out number 7 below). If, we can't make this program fly (insert sad face) you will obviously be fully reimbursed.
